Statewide Staffing - History

Statewide Staffing was formed in 2002 by a family of nurses who sought to address the needs of the rural healthcare staffing industry. Dedicated to quality and a better level of care, the founders of Statewide Staffing developed a winning formula of building solid relationships with its clients and employees. The formula is simple - elevate the needs of clients and employees above our own. Statewide Staffing has built a reputation of under-promising and over-delivering.

With hundreds of healthcare employees, Statewide Staffing serves over eighty different healthcare facilities, including 27 hospitals, 11 correctional institutions, 30 skilled nursing facilities and four school districts, representing over 200 schools, in the State of Maryland. Immediate plans for expansion include Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina.

Statewide Staffing still recruits, hires, trains and places local nurses. Our nurses are familiar with the geography, culture, or demographics of a particular community. In turn, our clients receive the most qualified and compatible nurses who live and work in the communities they serve.

The experienced management of Statewide Staffing includes individuals with diverse backgrounds in healthcare staffing, nursing, professional development and training, organizational design, and law. Our well-rounded team assures a blend of unique professional perspectives, resulting in exceptional service for our clients.

Because Statewide Staffing focuses our daily business on one area only-supplemental healthcare staffing-our management and administrative staff are uniquely in tune with the challenges and issues our clients deal with on a daily basis. Our experienced recruiters, staffing coordinators, and nurse managers employ proven methodologies, such as face-to-face interviews, skills testing, background checks and use the latest staffing and recruiting software.

Combining solid personnel methodology with advanced technology assures we assign the right nurse to a facility. We employ a broad range of nurses with certifications in Telemetry, Intensive Care Units, Advanced Wound Care, Infusion Therapy, Advanced Cardiac and Pediatric Life Support, and other specialties. Statewide Staffing supports our nurses in the endeavor to maintain these certifications by offering continuing education units and testing.
